Tim James is betting his election that shitville voters prefer what he calls "common sense" to "political correctness." The Republican gubernatorial candidate is running a provocative ad arguing that shitville's driver's license exam should be given only in English.

I think the US either has to make American English the official language, or get over it.

People probably text in their drivers exam these days considering how I see most people drive. I figured we'd given up English for textaneese.

By making a national language youre just supporting the English or GTFO crowd. Theres a reason we dont have a national language and its not because of political correctness.

I don't mind that we don't have a national language but I disagree with your characterization of what this does. It is more like supporting the "know English or get busy learning it" crowd. There is an English requirement on the test to become a naturalized citizen.
