Up front maybe. But just like with everything else in that industry they'll pass it along to the consumer and end up making MORE money in the long run and the only ones getting effed in the a will be US.

There's more to fuel usage than just the gas pump Ed.

I fly a lot for work. While I don't pay for the cost of travel directly, over time the increased cost is communicated on to people within any organization by things like decreased raises, etc.

I heat my house with oil because that's the only way I can where I live so I'm already betting that the cost to heat my house next winter will quadruple or worse and I'm planning accordingly.

Consumer goods are moved by truck and train which use fuel - increased fuel costs = increased prices at other places than the pump.

Their executive team took home over 150 million EACH in salaries and bonuses last year. Do you really think they care about our little fines?

They should just measure it onto their cost of doing business. But, doubt it.... it's still not plugged, it's partially contained.
