Being on private property and the fact that the officer didn't witness it she probably wouldn't be ticketed. Give the info to your insurance company with the witness info and let them handle it but you will probably at least need a police report.

It may not even be worth it but I agree...sucks that people do this and then just walk off.

Cool of the guy to step up though.

I'd call the cops, but then again you probably should have done that at the time... cell phone pictures for sure... and if I wasn't busy that day, I'd sit there and wait for the chick and confront her.

When I mentioned the cops it was for a report...which could probably just be done by phone. Most insurance companies require it.

Fuck that, why risk dealing with the insurance company? Im not afraid of cops, they generally leave me alone nowadays, and dont raise my rates everytime I fart.

I'd press charges, it's a hit and run with a witness. Fucking people need to learn you don't get to fuck up other people's property without being called on it. By doing nothing you are sending the message it's ok.
