Default talk about revenue generating

Got my registration renewal forms from DMV today. Bad enough its 42 dollars but they add if I want the new NY plates with a different # its 55 dolars and its 75 dollars if I want the same #. Safe to say I will be keeping my old blue and white NY plates.

Michigan went thru something like that a few years ago. Ditching our blue plate with white lettters/numbers. But they didn't charge us to get a new one with a different number.

And, not connected with above, Michigan use to have all MC plates expire on March 31st. Then they went to your bday like all other plates. Well besides trailers cause those are like $250 for lifetime.

I have no idea, I just get a notice and pay it. But I doubt its all the same day. I didn't get a notice for the SV yet. Or maybe it got lost in the mail. Who knows.

In ny trailer reggies cost the same as bikes and expier at the end of the year no mater what.

We have had the same color type of plates for over 10 yrs now, and they made it so you coul dpersonalize them with sports teams, nascrap cars as well as some other stuff. Then you could also get professional plates MD etc.... so thye were getting you alot of different ways. I guess if you buy a new vehicle they give you the new plates. I registered my new trailer last summer and had the option since they were trying toget rid of the old ones so I took one of them, looks better IMHO.
