I definitely think it's a Canadian thing. I've always had a tough time telling when my relatives (Canadian) have finished a thought or sentence. My Uncle says: So I went to the store..... He should have said: So, I went to the store. They don't trail off at the end of a sentence. I guess I'll start calling them flat-talkers.
