I found the following from something absolutely unrelated to bikes, something of literary beauty to behold:

There are many different ways that members of the animal kingdom broadcast raw sexuality - the "field of eyeballs" plumage of the peacock, the ostentatious antlers of the elk, the brightly colored anus of the mandrill but squids don't need garish anal displays to attract mates because they have hats with writing on them.
