I don't blame the school. I don't even blame the government (this time). And I did NOT google naked shoveling.
It's up to parents to teach their children the basics. Would you expect your first grader to learn how to shower or brush their teeth (or tooth in England)? Would you expect them to teach them religion or morals? Would you allow them to be threir only source of informtion????
Hell no. That's MY responsibility and I take them seriously. School is there for academics. And maybe if they could concentrate more on that....well, now I'm just talking crazy talk.
