Anyone here a math genius?
A friend on facebook posted this problem from her son's 6th grade math. I'm clearly an idiot, cause I can't figure it out.
If y*=3y-1, then what is 3*+5? Seems to me that you have to solve for the y and also for the exponent, but I can't figure out how. |
