Those with kids, would you apply for this type of job?

If your travel schedule isn't totally solid, that can get a bit risky, though. My ex and I are friendly enough that we've always worked things out. Technically, though, she could force the issue if I get a trip scheduled on a week where I'd normally have my son. I'd be required to find somewhere for him to stay for that week (i.e. with her), and she'd still get him the week before and the week after.

If we were together still, I'd probably keep traveling since I like it a lot. As it is now, my next job either won't require travel, or will give me complete control over the schedule.
