The leader of our opposition party, Jack Layton, was diagnosed with Cancer back in February. He went through a course of treatment and seemed much better, by the May elections. He took a temporary leave from his position as leader of the New Democratic Party, at the end of July, and died a few days ago.

When it turns, it can come quickly.
