A friend of mine from work goes to Brown Mountain all the time (that's probably much closer to you than me) for trail riding. From what he says, you can spend days out there and never hit the same trail. And I've heard of at least 2 MX tracks out this way, one near Raleigh and one near Goldsboro. I'm sure there are more (or hope).

Most places in the tri-county area have been built on or shut down. There is still some great riding in the middle of the state. The Blaster was my way to segway back into the dirt. T feels more comfortable on 4 wheels and I wanted her to be able to join in. She has had a blast the few times she has been out. I'll definitely be picking up a 2-wheeler after we close on the new place.
