So when do you consider that you have blown a turn/curve?
This was a topic of discussion on a local forum and i thought i would be interesting to hear from the TWF folks on this one.
Should make for some interesting responses Last edited by tached1000rr; 12-03-2009 at 03:01 PM.. |

If I could commit to the line I wanted to take OR if I had to change course drastically because of the line I took.
I don't consider going through a corner slower as blowing it. There are corners at the track that I deliberately practise and practise and practise until I can gain speed. Smooth first, fast later. |

Every turn or curve is blown, otherwise I'd be riding MotoGP.

Anytime I've got to do an unplanned -for maneuver; on any new stuff I'll need to make little corrections; but if I've totally misjudged the turn and have to squeeze a handful of brakes, pick the bike up or slam the bars in harder than I planned; well, I know when I've miffed a turn....and I know because I'm pissed with myself..............

On the street, if you cross a line, you've blown the corner. Plain and simple.

Im something of a perfectionist, so if I hit a road I'm comfortable with or on the track and I have to make an adjustment mid turn, to me, I blew it.
Having spent several track days at my home track, I know the sweet spots, and if I miss it I irritate myself because I just interfered with the next few turns as well. Im definitely not the fastest, but I prefer the rest of it be as close to "my" perfect as I can get it. |

i was thinking along the lines of the track, so i put "when you crash". but in the terms of street riding, pretty much what kell & tmall said.
