Security Guards watch a beating
This is just unconscionable. I don't care what their contract says; there's a basic duty to protect. Two of these fucking cowards WALKED AWAY!

Fired, all of them should be. The definition of security is to secure. If they are there to just observe and report then the back of their vests should say observer, not security. These fucking cowards have no business being security guards.

Starting with the idiot that came up with the "observe and report" policy in the first place.
It's not only useless, it's a waste of money. The terminal obviously has cameras damn near everywhere, why do you need all those guys standing around? One guy in a booth would have been just as (in)effective in this case. JC

Nope they are not police and should not act as such, they probably had been told not to intervene only call real police. Yes they could and should have intervened as people, but as sort of proffesionals they needed to stand back.

Then what is the point in having yellow vests that say security on them? Like AMJ said, it's a waste of money. If you aren't going to act like a cop, don't try to look like a cop.

ever see what happens when unarmed rent a cops try to actually intervene? it becomes a mob fest and they get beaten as well as the orig victim.
the problem here is really not the security guys. it's the general population who go around and do crap like this to start with. no fear of retaliation or punishment. why because there won't be any retaliation or punishment. oh they may get a slap on the wrist ticket or a few days of community service that's it. couple kids here took a kid out at a party, broke his nose and jaw, beat him pretty good. they got a few days in jail and misdemeanour convictions. 60 and 90 days community service after jail time. |
