anyone ever make their own pistol grips?
been thinking over the last couple days that id like to make some new grips for my autococker. Unfortunately, its the newer sr frame which does not use the 1911 style frame so off the shelf stuff is out. Mostly wondering if anyone had fashioned grips out of wood or had made a cast to mold new rubber or acrylic. i have a few ideas for both routes, not sure which way to go. Thanks in advance

Make a mold from silicone, then cast it with plaster from a craft store. You will make adjustments and customize it, so this will give you the ability to repeat and change very quickly. This is the way we made alot of stuff that wed couldnt afford or find. You can find rubber or epoxy to final cast.
