For you camping bikers
Cool tent that doesn't use any poles and packs really really small.

I don't camp while on bike trips anymore. I've done it twice, once on the north rim of the Grand Canyon.
The romance of motorcycle camping sounds alot better than it is in real life. After riding 600 miles a day, the last thing I want to go is dig out my camping gear, put up a tent, roll out a sleeping bag, etc etc. I'll take a nice hotel room, a restaurant next door, and a steak with a tasty beverage thanks. Overnight camping isn't out, but not on my annual long trips.

I rode to Sturgis on my ZX-10R and camped in the Black Hills Forest for a week. My tent was about 30' away from a rushing stream. Normally, I'd have a hard time sleeping in a tent. But, I was so exhausted every day from all the riding that I slept like a baby and woke up feeling great!
It was the most fun I ever had on my bike. Oh yeah, and your link is broken. |

Motorcycle camping is way over rated.
I've found there really is no substitute for lightweight backpacking gear. My bike is loaded up right now for another 3 day camping trip and EVERYTHING fits in my little saddlebags. |

I kick around the idea of picking up a used dual sport bike for just this purpose.....load the bike up...ride out into free range land after work on a Friday...and ride home again sometime Sunday.
I haven't made the dream a reality yet....but the day is getting closer. |

I got tired of all my gear getting wet and just picked up the new Wolfman Expedition Dry Line saddlebags.
