That's Gilbert. He's said WAY worse since his employ with Aflac. They knew who they were hiring.

He had to go either way, but considering around 75% of AFLAC's sales last year were in Japan there was no way they could keep him even if they wanted to.

I cant pick an option I don't offend easily. The guy is a comedian after all and the company new there was a risk that the voice of the brand may say something scandalous one day.
However, I do not blame them for firing him. Cant have the voice of your product yapping inappropriately. |

I think the best example is him making jokes about 9/11 at a celebrity roast a couple weeks after the attack. They should have known who they were hiring, but he should have known who he was working for.

Tasteless, but doesn't deserve to be fired... As already stated, they knew what they were getting into when they hired the guy... And frankly, I thought they were pretty tame compared to what I've seen him put out in the past.

I think his voice and face are more offensive than those jokes.
Many people makes jokes in bad taste. Some will find them funny. Some will find them offensive. If you have a corporate gig or sponsor, don't expect your tasteless shit to go unnoticed.

Here's the thing...he's only the duck's voice in the U.S. I've heard Japan has a different voice for the duck. So where's the harm?
