Wow. I'm normally one to reserve judgement until I've heard both sides of the story, but the statements from the cops own partner, a 14-year veteran, pretty much sew this thing up for me.
If it turns out that it did, in fact, happen as reported, throw him in general population in a maximum-security prison and let everyone know he was a cop.

Funny how it's all "due process....presumption of innocent....blah blah blah" when it's a cop talking about another cop.
What about due process for the guy sitting in his own home? Presumption of innocence before he put a fucking gun to this guys head? Shooting his dog? Wow....I can hear Kaneman stroking out from here...and if this story is true at face value I don't really blame him. |

I smell a huge lawsuit.
The MAIN problem with cops (and I believe there are many more good than bad) is that the bad apples are not weeded out. As a result, it begins to spoil some of the good because no one likes a snitch.

Somebody does something stupid. Everybody is obligated to rat him out. It never happens. The people who do tell, are ostracized and have no companionship on a tin can in the middle of the ocean. It makes their life difficult to do the right thing. |
