Not using quotes. Describing what the character might think.

The idea is to give an idea about what the character is about, without using quotes that could be easily searchable.

I just happened to watch "Unforgiven" a couple of nights ago

You yellow-haired son of a bitch! You're supposed to be dead, not choking the life out of the guy who's supposed to lead me to the treasure. I ought to beat the shit out of you, but then who would show me where the gold is?

Ok gonna try something a bit different on this one, it is from a movie but one made of shorts and I'm gonna use a direct quote. Should be easy as hell.

"Sucker play or not, I must have turned her on. This dame was going for broke. Maybe I was her first new yorker? Anyway, nothing beats good old american know how, I gave her the stars and stripes forever"

I would have written something like, "Sorry Honey, I can't take this anymore. Pass me a bottle. Screw the T-totalling thing. It's time to be bad and kill me some folks."

Actually it took me a while. Harry Canyon - cabbie in NYC. I had the movie, but couldn't place the quote
