Round up tip and then preferably round everything up so final bill ends in #0.00
Too much work going on in that mofo. If it's cash, make it round, but if it's CC why does it need to be rounded?

Fuck that noise.
I have "black tippers guilt" so I do the work.

I edited my post. And how do you figure I don't tip? All I said was that if it's CC, I make the tip a whole number because it's easier that way

Yeah I saw the edit after I posted.

You complained about "some math."

Calculating the tip = math.

Adding the tip to the bill = math.

The only way to not have to do some math is to not tip.

Mmkay......taking it too literally methinks. "More work" to me = calculating a tip that would make the total a round number. Like if the subtotal was $16.31 then you have to calculate $3.69 in order to get the total up to a round number. Why not just leave them $3 or $4? After all, if it's a credit card, the server doesn't care whether the total is round or not --- He or she is not being forced to carry around extra coins in his/her pocket.

I always round up... and I tip based on service, not expectations.

Its also a personal preference of mine for all bills to be nice simple numbers.
Makes balancing the checkbook and working out financial crap so much easier at the end of the month.

What the hell, we need an Asian tipping thread, too.
It would be an empty thread.
