There's a shooting range literally 1/2 mile away from my place... I am going to go check it out ASAP and will probably apply to be a member.

I went to a gun store here in Indy that allows you to rent guns, $10 each. Great way to try out different guns to see which you like best. The ruger was quite nice. I liked the glock, but the one I was using had a laser sight, which I wasn't fond of.
Maybe it was the fact that it wasn't sighted in correctly (and with only 1/2 hour range time, I wasn't going to bother), but I simply was not a fan of it. I prefer open sights, at least in that instance. Maybe it would be different if I had to point and shoot quickly, but if someone breaks in your house, you're usually going to be close enough with a handgun that you don't really need a laser sight on it... |

What's fucked up is, they were offering CCW classes at the gun show, but we got there like 10 minutes too late... I would have been able to take that shit home with me today if I would have gotten the CCW.

Well depending on your state... but not true. I am paying $125 for my CCW class then another $125 for the county fees for the license to be processed and my back ground check and prints to be ran. Then about 6weeks - 6 months I get the actual CCW. Then you can just walk in and purchase, walk out with heat.

Might not be as bad down there... FL has gotten pretty good with their gun laws. They were the state that started the "castle laws" as well. All Aces in my book.

Nice!
It's very nice that I don't live in O-Town anymore! I need to pick something up soon. |
