I thought this very thing....Friday night while pulled over in a DUI checkpoint attempting to leave downtown Wichita.

Pulling over EVERYONE....traffic cones set up and everything...and ticketing anyone who drove outside the cones. I don't drink...I don't smoke...I don't do drugs....I was driving the speed limit...not doing anything wrong. I have no idea how what they had set up there can possibly be "legal"....at least "legal" in the old school, common sense version of the word.

2 cops with flashlights...one on either side of my car...both leaning into the car shining their lights around. All that was missing was them saying "Papers, comrade....." before they allowed me the priveledge of continuing on my way.
