No one's saying the dude was a saint, but there's no question that his acts for his country qualify him as a hero (I still keep hearing the GI Joe theme in my head).
MJ may have done some good things with his celebrity, but he was no kind of hero by any stretch of the imagination. He was an entertainer who did some good deeds. I wouldnt line up to talk to MJ, but Id have loved to have talked to this guy, think of the stories he could share. |

I will skip the MJ discussion . I think we do need to to hold in reverence those who chose to serve our country, and especially those who choose to serve in time of war.
Thank you Colonel.

The extreme celebrity worship and that which takes place in the mainstream media is just another sign of the continual dumbing down of society. From my POV its the same basic societal mentality that brought us such things as frivilous lawsuits, lack of personal responsibility, commonplace obesisty, political correctness, Perez and Paris Hilton, reality television, overabundant adult tattling, catholics *zing!*, and so on and so forth. Also refered to as "Sheeple," "The pussification of America," and "oh my fucking God what the fucking fuck happened to this country."
It seems unlikely that the trance we find oursevles deeper and deeper in is going to lift on its own or that things will get any better. Lower IQs, unprecidented ignorance and flabby bellies will become more and more the norm as the years pass. The Today show ran a huge special on Neverland Ranch this morning. They interviewed Jermaine, they toured the house, they brought on experts with blonde hair and big tits they went on and on and on and on and on. I too would've much rather seen some coverage of Col. Kenneth L. Reusser's life instead of this mindless dribble but the fact is that the majority of people in this country don't give a flying fuck about some old wrinkled war hero. People no longer have the stomach to fully encompass what it takes to be a man of that magnitude. Its probably more unreal to them than any fairy tale, there is no association and they are simply not interested. Now, ....THERE'S something people can relate to. Don't you assholes know he made Thriller? ________ LIFESTYLE VAPORIZER HEATER COVER Last edited by Kaneman; 05-09-2011 at 09:19 PM.. |
