I'd take that test. All beers are not created equal. Your statement is like saying you can't tell the difference between a Ford Mustang and a Chevy Camaro.

Sam Adams tastes very hoppy. Try it next to an equally hoppy beer, and I'd say you wouldn't able to distinguish.
That's all I'm saying. The subtle differences wouldn't be detectable to most ppl. Keiths red ale and rickard's red? Taste basically the same. At least so similar you wouldn't be able to label them if asked. |

Close rider, the best comparison would be...
If you were blind folded, could you tell if you were in a camaro or a mustang? I'm not trying to insult you guys. If you can justify spending more because it tastes better, then good for you. I don't buy cheap stuff most of the time. I've just travelled around the world. And I've had a lot of beer. And I can't tell the difference between one cream ale and the next.. One ipa or the next.. |

There's no accounting for taste and to each his own, so drink what you like. But don't assume that because you can't differentiate others cannot. Check out beeradvocate.com for recommendations. If you still can't tell the difference, buy whatever is cheapest. Cheers! My latest style is a local Bière de Garde. |

Aw, PBR... my first taste of beer when I was 5 or so. Mom drank it, it tasted like piss, and hasn't changed much over the years.
A friend of ours has a beer tasting every year, and it's not really all that hard to tell different beers apart, even in the same categories. |

PBR is the beer that my redneck uncles would drink while out hunting deer. And, they did it because it was $3.87 a case. And, as stated earlier - it tasted like it. I'm too much of a snob to try and see if it still tastes like crap

When choosing between cheap beers, I always get a Lone Star. I don't care what anyone says that shit is damn tasty for being cheaper than most of the cheap beers.
My old roommate used to buy PBR to drink at home. I never thought it was horrible, but I wouldn't drink it if there was another choice. |
