It only takes 1/4 ounce of peer pressure and 1/8 table spoon of stupid for her to wreck a vehicle like that.

avatard.....took me two cars but she is now totally on her own.
She got a 2000 escort and rolled it comming home from college for spring break in the snow...after we told her not to go that way on the highway. She then had "use" of our little truck. She says she slammed on the brakes for a deer and went off the road, I think she was on the phone. Total number 2. I repoed the 2001 gmc sonoma and we use it to bomb around the yard and get stuff we don't want to put in the purdy new truck. She bought herself a 1997 madza protege with 225000 miles on it. Been in the ditch with it a couple times also. She is 21 but if I had my way I would take her license away. She lives on her own and pays her bills so its her life but I still worry. |

The scary thing is that right now, she's using my truck to get to work, until I can fix her Celica. Today, my heart was not into getting greasy from head to toe in 90+ heat, and NJ humidity. Maybe tomorrow...

The smoke stays out of the cab, so it's ok Really only smokes a lot when revved up not under load.

You'd think I bought her a viper, or let her anywhere near my car..... FWIW, we had Lexie out on Wednesday in Bo's Audi. Ross was in the back seat - all he had to say was "Some drivers' ed instructor is going to be piiiiissssssed" Wheels squealing in every corner...

Between my me, my sister, and my step-bro/sis... my step-bro was the worst. He got a bunch of tickets and totalled two cars, losing his license before he turned 17.
My sister and I both got into minor fender benders (no damage) and my step-sis was spotless. It all just depends on the kid. |
