As for the topic at hand, microwave foods are convenient. But, not ever "good."

We have egg poachers for the microwave that work well. Every other Sunday we'll make 4 poached eggs and throw them in small tupperware containers with a piece of Canadian bacon, ham, or a turkey sausage patty. Then duing the week we'll toast a whole wheat English muffin, pop the container in the microwave to heat up the egg/meat and throw it on the muffin with a slice of cheese and have a hot breakfast on the way out the door to work. Usually bring a banana with me and have that when I get to the office.
I'll also steam asparagus or snow peas or green beans in the microwave with a dab of light margarine, S&P and garlic powder. Last edited by LeeNetworX; 01-26-2010 at 09:40 PM.. |

Couple questions - How are you guys cooking eggs in a microwave? What kinda container/how much time? I might be revolutionizing breakfast around here with whole food instead of a milk/eggwhite shake.

Eggs in the microwave taste disgusting to me but I know a lot of people that like them.

Microwave - don't use it much, soften butter to make cookies or defrost veggies for chicken pot pie or sausage for pizza. I do have a WW recipe for stuffed peppers to make in the microwave, FTW! |
