It's deep East Texas, piney woods country, not far from Lake Livingston.
My family's land isn't too far from there.
Why do you ask?

Found a bike on ebay that I wanted to bid on, but I never bought a bike from ebay. It was a salvage, restored and retitled. I already checked with the DMV here and the title process wont' be an issue.

I am just trying to figure my options here. Is it safe to send over a cashiers check which is what most places require? I am scared they are going to take the money and run. I was wondering if it would be a good idea for somoene to complete the monetary transaction for me, perhaps drop it off at a shipping station? though I emailed him and he would drop it off for shipping.

Of course I would pay for the help as I wouldn't anyone to go out of their way for free.

Any suggestions/thoughts on the bike? and how to handle this if I do win??

What kind of accident was it in? I'm a little leery of bikes that have been totally restored with new parts because you can't see how serious the accident was. Does he have before pics? If not, you can't tell how serious it was. And if it was more than a simple lowside, he might have bent the frame and never bothered to get it straightened. Does he have any way to prove that someone checked the frame? Not to be a downer, but just throwing that out there

Seems like a lowside, he bought it as a salvage bike but had it completely restored and has a regular blue title from TX so I believe the title should be clear. So the bike had been inspected- though i don't know how rigorous the inspection was.

Said the frame and forks are straight.

There is still a ding on the gas tank and one on the pipe but its minor cosmetic issues.
