Sold the busa, should I buy this sv
So w this terrible economy we have I sold the busa within 1 day of listing, $200 of my asking price, and $200 less then I bought it for 2 yrs ago.
Granted it had a new pilot road 3 rear tire, but that's the cost of riding Was never really comfortable on. The bike at a stop, having short legs 29" inseam, bike having a 1" riser dog bone, and the new tire was 190/55 it was pretty freaking tall, when I had 1 toe (literally) down, my other toe was 4-5" off the ground, now at speed that bike was wonderful. I started car pooling to work, might even start a van pool, so I'll never get to commute, and weekends are family time. I had positive equity, so I could buy this sv outright, but Zs argument is that we'd have 2 sv's, which is truth http://www.motohouston.com/forums/sh...d.php?t=187577 But this is a sweet sv, owner builds personnal bikes rides then for a bit and sells them Here's his sv1000 for sale http://www.motohouston.com/forums/sh...d.php?t=177633 Sweet bike too Hmmmm decisions decisions.....

Yeah, he's got it on craigslist and svrider too
Very nice bike, owner says bike has never been down, and it's a very fair price for the mods See the sv1000? Wheels and a ohlins ft fork and ohlins rear too :drool But I don't want to spend that much, or save the $ towards a diavel next yr ????

Am I the only one that looks for bikes with no mods? I'd rather not buy bikes that others have fucked up.

I don't mind bikes done right
My busa was done right, that's why it sold in 1 day + it's a busa The bike builder owns pretty much the only shop that touches my bike, and they do itright too. I shouldve bought his rc51 when he had it, similar setup to the sv1000 Modded bikes are the best value, cuz it's thousand of $ for those mods

Depends on the mods. Suspension, seats, stuff like that I'm good with. Major motor mods, not so much. Still wouldn't mind that SV though.

Personal opinion only: Mods only mean something if someone wants them, especially if you're trying to use mods to get extra money on a sale. To me, most things added to a bike are lost money that an owner eats in a sale. I'd rather have more stock than more mods. The more mods there are, the more money it'll cost me, as a buyer, to remove.
