The first couple of years I didn't ride much at all. The last couple of years I've managed to get in about 6000 miles each year. Considering I rarely take any trips, that's pretty good for me. I mainly commute and my commute is short. I ride almost everyday, but the miles don't rack up.

my bike had 618 on her when I brought her home. I had around 3500 when I left for my trip I think... that was two years after I bought her... but only a month and a half of that two years was I able to ride, snow and deployments made up the other 22.5 months.
when I put her down she had 7777... so not bad considering that's basicly 2.5 months of riding ... |

I'm hoping to rack up twice as many miles this year. I really wish I could ride as much as alot of others due. But working all the time and funding puts a damper on it.
However, I'm just happy to ride. It doesn't matter to where. As long as I'm on the bike, ya know? Miles at that point really doesn't mean anything to me.
