My French and Spanish become considerably more fluent when I'm drunk.

Yep! Funny thing is everyone in chinatown in vegas speaks mandarin also, so i can't communicate with them, whereas in the chinatown in NYC mostly everyone spoke Cantonese. I just end up speaking to the people here in English since they understand that more than my Cantonese.

I can understand Cantonese just fine just listening to it, its just when its my time to speak i stumble over my words.

Are you still practicing your Chinese and have you learned any Indian from Bindhu's family?

I've taken french for 7 years in school but i've lost most of it too, if anyone wants to practice via skype ket me know!

I'm getting pretty rusty in my chinese since I don't travel any more, I don't really get a chance to exercise it. I did buy some lobster in chinatown the other day so I got a little bit of practice.

I'm learning some mullayallum (sp?) from Bindhu's family though! Mostly it's bodily functions, insults and stuff revolving around food.

I know enough Spanish to get in trouble. 2 years in high school and it's all but gone.

Fortunately, being around Carolina and her mom, I'm slowly but surely picking up Portuguese. I think Carolina's girls know more Portuguese than me, and they're barely 3 and 1-1/2.
