1) The deals are not that good. If you look, the massive discounts are all off the 'regular' price, which is not what you'd pay anyway. It's the inflated price they use to make their ACTUAL prices look better... sometimes MSRP, sometimes whatever the inflated price they decided on at the moment. For example, I looked at digicams there... 'Regular' price $299, normal everyday Circuit City price $249, reduced 20%... $239. I noticed the old price still on the display... Found it online for $200 elsewhere...
2) Check your credit card perks. If you have a Bank of America card, they have a provision that ANYTHING you buy using your card automatically gets an extended warrenty AND any anything goes replacement policy for something like the first 90 days. Buy a TV, shoot it like 400 times with a semi-auto rifle... they'll replace it. Word. |
