Not to mention that the fetching thing can be VERY ANNOYING. My mix breed is OCD over toys and fetching. Even though I still play it with her she knows I'm mostly 'over it' and whenever we have guests over bugs the crap out of them. THROW THE TOY THROW THE TOY!!! THROW THE &(*&$% TOY!!!

A lot of people really care about their animals, not just care for them.

I adore my dog, but he's a lot more money, time and energy to look after than a cat. I don't have to take 2 hours a day to walk a cat. I don't have to have 2 big, orthopedic beds and 4 different vacuum cleaners for a cat.

I wouldn't have had to buy a bigger vehicle to fit a dog and a baby.

I love cats for a lot of reasons why they aren't like dogs...

But I digress....

Hard to choose. They both have admirable qualities as far as I am concerned.
I feel the same way. I don't think that we like cats who act like dogs, we like our cats because they are loving and well trained. That's not necessarily a dog thing...it's a pet thing. But since most people train their dogs to do those things it just is known as a dog thing.

Oh an not to mention drooling.....god I hate drooling. Ick.

I'll sign on to that as well. People who don't like cats often push the stereotype that all cats are indifferent to people, aren't playful or affectionate, and so forth. It just isn't true :idk

id vote fishtank. Gotta love watching the clown knife, ghost knife, and arrowanna clearing out a bag of feeders. But picking between the original two ill have to go cat. Max plays fetch with bottlecaps, will even play by himself if im doing something (places the cap at the top of the stairs, smacks it down, chase, repeat) he knows the exhausts of both my bikes and will head for the door before ive even rounded the corner to my block and hes always the ladies man, cuddling up with my gf when i go to work prob why we made him wear a chippendales collar last halloween

If it was any other dog than my Abby, I''d probably say cat...but in this time of my life, I'm with Cuttle, I'd never be able to choose. This is what I woke up to this morning...
