My mom was recently on a cruise and was telling me some of the questions people ask.

Does the boat makes it’s own electricity?

Do they use satellite or cable?

On a dive boat in Honduras:

Tourist: Is this island here year round?

Me: No, we tow it to a big hanger during the rainy season, so it doesn't get wet.

I have to wear sunglasses all the time because of my eyes. The other day I drove up to someone's house and the first thing they said was "Hey, are you blind?" I said "Yep, sure am." The guy asked me "So how do you drive?" I told him I just steer away from the screams.

I had a job as a copier repair man. Copy machines have this thing called a bypass tray, its where you put in just a few sheets of special paper or over head projector sheets. Because you would not put paper there if you did not want to use that paper most machines will automatically take that sheet if there is one in the bypass.

The bypass will also pull in a bag of doritoes if they are set on the bypass area. I had this happen and after fixing it I told the office manager I would need a signature because the call was billable. I explained why and she said to me with a completely straight face, "It could not have been one of our staff they are not allowed to eat anywhere but the break room." I waited a few seconds and she said "what am I thinking you did not bring in a bag with you". I can not tell you how glad I was that she figured that out cause if I would have had to explain it to her there mght have been trouble.

When I flag traffic I'll have people come to complete stop when it's on the "slow" side. Or they'll be stopped and I'll flip it to "slow". They'll point to the sign and look at me going "Do I go" or similar. I use to point to them to go but now I just stand there until they figure it out.
