9 times out of 10 on the bike or in the cage I'm just pulling over and taking my medicine and 'hope' the officer cuts me some slack like they have many times before. I've been very lucky...a few times.

The only time I may 'run' is if I'm close to the house...know exactly where I am and the officer has to turn around and start his pursuit after I'm already 'rolling'.

When I was younger I thought a little different and may 'tempt fate' a little more but these days....knowing how much worse it's going to be IF I run and get caught...scew it...I'm most likely pulling over.

Exactly! My mindset went to prevention a long time ago! I'm just willing to admit to not being perfect.

Wow, you sure take offense easily, Marko. I never said I was the "fastest rider on two wheels", you don't have to be to outrun a cop on a liter class sport bike... here's where the sanctimonious bullshit comes into play. The real problem is that I'm willing to admit to faults and most of you aren't. How many times have you driven home over .08% BAC? Plenty considering that it only takes a couple drinks to hit that mark... Who's more dangerous to other drivers?

The other thing is me and a couple other members were having some fun with this topic, throwing some jokes, trading some insults and here YOU come...what were we having too much fun with this oh so serious subject?

Who said I was offended? I'm just calling you out for your normal spewing of bullshit. It happens every day in every thread you post in.

Meanwhile, more serious infractions like following too closely are going unenforced because you can't really call that one from your spot at the top of a bridge over a highway. But then again, following too closely doesn't generate big revenue.

I've been reading your posts for a third of my life Ed, I know you have a lot of trouble applying shades of grey to everyday events...so don't strain yourself too hard over this one.
oh so if you have a high performance bike, then all the hgh performance bike riders are capable of riding it well, I C.

funny how often we hear whining about 'tard drivers at the current speed limits we have, so lets make the speeds higher, it'll be safer.......yeah thats the ticket......

right, since you and i own a bike "built" for racing, we're more then capable riders automatically?

kinda weird is that in germany w/ teh famed autobahn, anybody can drive as fast as they can. it's all or none. you can't say people w/ hi-po bikes are allowed to go XXX and soccer moms only XX..........

FWIW the main problem is closing speeds or capture ratio, the difference in speed. If the cages were going faster AND obeyed lane position laws-as they do in Germany, btw, our freeways would be moderately safer. On the whole and IMHO, speed limits on the open freeway are in place for one reason...revenue, plain and simple.

Racer X personifies the lowest common denominator of our society - the reason we all have to put up with blanket laws and blind application of the law.

He can't comprehend the difference between 15 over the speed limit on an empty 8-lane highway and 15 over the speed limit on a busy 4-lane city street. He can only understand 15 over.

When he gets frustrated by his inability to follow simple conversation, he'll pick out a trivial detail from your post and make a big deal about it. Or he'll just make up random shit:
