you guys have unemployment hearings?

Damn, around here, you fill in a form online, send in your layoff forms, and wait a couple of weeks to start getting paid.

No hearings, and it cant be denied to you unless you quit your job. If you were fired, you still get it.

Edit: Unless you were fired for theft, then you get a 6 week penalty I believe.

Here they only take 30 percent of our income, so they get to decide whether you get anything or not.

4 weeks after receiving my paperwork, I still don't have a hearing date. It's been 3 months since I got canned.

Needless to say their lack of preparation and use of vague language seemed to frustrate the moderator.

I'll be getting my decision notice via mail...I believe I won. lol

Congrats, man. Sounds like you got hurt for doing your job. That ain't right.
