it is funny to see youngsters drinking my dad's beer of choice when he was a card carrying alcoholic. crap was cheap and it didn't matter what it tasted like only that it was cheap. there was always cases of that crap stacked in our house.
they've brought back Schlitz too, I suppose that'll be the next big thing. although it has it's benefits. between that and Old Style I don't think you can get a better case of beer farts to destroy your friends at home or on the road. LOL

The Walmart mentality applies here. People would rather go cheap than buy something of quality. As long as I'm paying, you will never see a Bud, Miller, Coors, PBR, Hamms, Corona, Keystone, Natty, etc. in my house. If my main goal was to just get drunk, I'd buy a $5 bottle of Thunderbird. Since getting wasted is not my main objective, I'll spend a little more and buy something that actually has flavor, color, and body.

For me it's Miller High Life. Always has been since I was a kid. Ask anyone at the lodge for the SE rally.

Growing up we'd buy whatever we could fill an iced bathtub with for the least money. Hamm's, Black Label, Natty Light whatever. The kids drinking PBR for the "cool" factor now in the low cut girl's jeans and pussy emo haircuts would have been beaten to death as soon as they walked in the door.

This is almost as funny as people making entire assumptions about someone's life because of what they drink.

Some days I just buy what ever the fuck is cheapest, most other days I am bringing home Arrogant Bastard Ale.

Stone has some excellent brews. Try the Ruination IPA, Imperial Russian Stout, or Double Bastard Ale if you get a chance.

The hipsters think that PBR is cool? Let them drink that piss water shit.

I'll stick to Chimay. A real man's beer.

I've never tried that, what is it?

One thing I've never understood is Red Stripe.........Tastes like beer-flavored soda water to me.

Also, Pilsner Urquell......damn that shit is skunky......Too much hops IMO.
