Me too we used to use inner tubes plastic toboggans and once we used a steel sign.

I saw the luge on tv when I was a kid and always wanted to do it. One of the olympic sliders was from LI too.

Funny how theyre blaming it on the rider, but they mad modifications to tha tpar tof the track and are now starting further down the track to slow the speeds down.

Other riders complained the track was dangerous and several had crashed in practice.

The video of it was pretty shocking. At the time they were still saying they did not know anything about his condition...But you just knew when he hit, it was over.

Sucks hard. RIP Champion!

Its all done for a great deal more than just the metal. Please remember what the entire Olympics represents. Its about world peace and in healthy competition the atheletes get to represent their country. Its a honor for them to even be there.
