So I'm selling a car and I put an add on craigslist, got a bunch of emails and made appointments for folks to come see it. I havnt given out my phone number at all, everything has been through email and some dude just called me, how in the hell did he get my phone number?

This happens to me every time I list my car.

Craigslist account or not, they manage to get my number. Usually a 703/704 area code. There's nothing more than an "email to seller" email listing which is the general craigslist email response.

There's no license plate, no real email listed, nothing. Yet they manage to call EVERY TIME asking if I want to have them "put their upscale clientele in my car for my asking price". The best part is I will only ask how they got my number and their ONLY response is if I'm interested. I literally had this guy going for 5 whole minutes asking this exact question over and over. I was even cursing, and he just kept asking.. "Are you the owner of the 350Z for sale on Craigslist"
