I tie down a different way now. I don't compress the forks so there's no chance of a blown fork from being too tightly tied.

I have always taken the idea that I can replace the fork seal for $20, so i just crank the front end down as hard as I possibly can and hope it wont fall over. So far i havnt blown a fork seal or dropped a bike

Nice trailer.
I'm thinking of converting a horse trailer with living quarters into a bike/atv trailer with living quarters at some point. Much cheaper (and smaller) than a toy hauler. |

My favorite way to tie down has always been the frame sliders that convert into tie down points. If I were trailering a lot again, I would put them back on my bike. They can't be beat for tying down...as a frame slider, well that's another story.
