Isn't that a skid plate though? Doesn't look like it helped much. The squarish one you posted earlier probably would have done better.

That looks like the OEM Yamaha plate, which is a piece of shit from what I understand.

I decided against the SWMotech and think I'm going with the AltRider, since it's connected to the frame.
