I doubt that I'd have saved anything. The forks would likely have cost me more and I would have had to farm out the welding work.
Make sure that you dyno your bike, before and after. It would be good to have some solid numbers to compare.

Yup. The front is an improvement and the rear is a huge improvement.

I got a spring that doesn't sage to the swingarm, just because I sit on the bike. That was a good start. The Hyperpro has good damping and the steps of adjustment are clearly noticeable in how they affect the ride.
Not sure how I like these damned stock Roadsmarts though. It's been a long time since I last used a sport-touring tire, and I'm used to more grip. They aren't too bad but they sure aren't the BT090s, that I used on my FZR400.

I'm going to stick with soft tires on this bike since it doesn't weigh too much.

It weighs more than a supersport but I got almost 15,000 Kms on a set of BT010s, on a 480 pound Bandit 1200, so I don't see any problem with this bike and soft tires.
What about that PCV?
