They named their new ship after him, they have the Steve Irwin and Bob Barker. They lost the Ady Gil this morning.

That's what my husband said. It was designed as a sailboat with extra riggers and a badass motor instead of a sail.

The boat was cursed from the start, it had all kinds of issues when it was Earthrace. Probably good it is sunk now.

Ok...Break out your tin-foil, I have a theory...

You have a boat that is designed to do one thing only, race around the world on french fry grease. It costs a shit ton to insure and maintain, and people aren't exactly lining up these days, to sponsor round the world motorboat races that have effectively 9 spectators total.

What to do?

"Loan" it to Sea Shepard, and declare the loan as a tax write off.

Hint around that if you "Have a little accident", your insurance will cover it.

Act really bummed out when Sea Shepard people crash the fucking thing into a boat made out of shit boats should be made out of (that would steel, and lots of it).

Blame it on the Japs. (It worked for Pearl Harbor, it will work now).

Lets sum up;

Japs are bad.
2.5 mil in insurance money.
Tax write off for use of an asset.
Free press for Whale humpers.

It's fucking perfect.
