Check out the Marlin XT-22 series. I have the VR which has a bull-barrel and is deadly accurate. They also have a version that is threaded for a suppressor. I got mine on Cheaperthandirt.com for $171 shipped. The only drawback is the most you can get is a 10-rd magazine. No high-cap mags for the Marlins. The XT series is bolt action. If you want a semi-auto, the Marlin model 60 is a great gun and usually cheaper than a 10/22. I'm a bolt-action fan myself.

just ordered some trijicon sites for my 1911, old ones are not glowing as bright as i want.

Have ya seen these? They claim to be brighter than trijicon with just a brief charge. The guys on my Taurus forum rave about them. I'll probably get some for mine once I get my sights modified the way I want them.
