You can argue "what's the point" about anything. The point to lifting is to gain muscle OR gain strength AND the last time I've checked, a natural bodybuider isn't going to look like the hulk without superior genetics.

There are many benefits to lifting weights including cardiovascular health, bone health, test level increases and lower blood pressure not to mention you feel good.
