I totally go in cycles and sometimes the more I eat the more I crave. Breaking that cycle is a tough exercise but worth it in the end.

What do you eat? Is it chicken, rice, and veggies about 6 times a day?

I tried that way of eating a few years ago and in 1 week I put on 7 pounds. I stuck with it for another week and was up another 2 in the second week.

You no doubt put on water and muscle mostly.

The problem with a valid diet (like the one your blowing off in this post), is that it doesnt work like these trend diets do. Thats why any nutritionist worth a damn prefers to measure size and bodyfat, then actual bodyweight.

Its a misconception that weight loss is the goal of diet. But if your eating and training properly, then your weight SHOULD go up, and your body fat should go down in the beginning.

While I dont know about sex and gambling addiction (I've never met too many men who didnt want to tear a piece off every sexy they see, does that classify as addiction?), but alcohol is a very real addiction, and for severe alcoholics, withdrawals from benzo's (alcohol is in the Benzo class of drugs) can be severe, and even cause heart stoppage and death. Thats why alcoholics are treated with Ativan when they are in recovery, and are weaned off of it over the course of 12 days.

Agreed. Alcohol is a drug. Food, sex, and gambling are NOT.
