Like has been mentioned, the new buyers are probably going to paint anyway.

Give them a blank or neutral canvas to work from.

Boring colors are less offensive than the wrong colors.

Green-walled bedrooms with dark/black furniture rock, IMO.

Of course, other rooms need to be "sunnier" etc.

I couldn't care less about what color the rooms are. Wallpaper though.. I had to deal with removal of that back in my old place.. never want to do that again.. and I didn't even do the bulk of the work.

Like others have said, colors that dont appeal to me have caused me to walk away. Yeah I can repaint it, but why would I want to? Bland colors are easy to clean, make the rooms look bigger than they really are and allow someone to see the house for what it is whereas colors can draw away from it.

If it is a nice neutral colour I could care less if it is all one colour in the house. Makes it easier to live with until I decide on what colour I want to paint. My house right now has a rather bland colour downstairs that looks cold in the winter, and we are looking for a new colour to paint but hubby and I can't agree on it. The upstairs is a nice colour and I loved the colour of the bedroom when I looked at it, helped sell it, but if it had been neutral that would have been ok too.

it's all about first impressions. Beige is the "go to" color for re-sale. I would stick with it - let people paint their own decor on a blank canvas.

I just sold my house, and it needed paint in almost every room.
Paint is so personal, even if you waste the money to paint it beige, the new owners will most likely just repaint almost immediately anyways.
