Beyond that, I can only assume that you are buying these used, no?

I will only buy lids new and I'd rather use the same money for one helmet and full ohlins suspension.
yeah, mostly used, there are a few Shoei designs that i just like, but I'm gonna put some of them up on ebay in a few days

Okay since you've apparently got a problem, are very safety concerned AND have too much money, why don't you just expend some of that gear addiction (and money) and buy me this:

Actually I think having 15 athletic supporters makes MORE sense, since I think they get smelly faster than helmet do.

The other thing about helmets is that they do serve a "decorative"
function as well. I'm sure that most of you, probably not Sixxxer, have more than one pair of shoes, right? Why,you can only wear one pair at a time? Anyway, for me it's like that. I try and ride every day and I like having choices on what to wear when I do.

Agreed. And it's nice to have helmets with the visors already on for different conditions. Chris keeps the tinted visor on his Arai, but keeps the clear anti-fog on his HJC (since there IS no anti fog visor for the Arai). So then depending on time of day he's riding, & conditions, he doesn't have to worry about changing visors.
