Corsa IIIs are terrible about squaring off quickly if you don't give them the corner love they need.

That's my favorite tire and tire of choice, but I would never use it if I planned on putting a lot of middle miles on it.

I can't explain the technology, but I can tell you that the 021's stick very well. I wouldn't use the the 021 as a track only tire, but for street use I highly recommend them. While riding with a group of fast friends, I ran in the 3rd slot behind a 1k Yamaha & an MV1000. When we stopped their PP had stress ripples and gummy balls hanging off the edges. My 021's still had the remains of the casting tits still showing and I was right with them. No slides and just as fast. I was impressed, and they just shook their heads, like WTF? Now, I am on a 600 so the bike doesn't work the rear tire as hard as a 1000, but I think they work pretty damn good for a supposed Sport Tour tire. I have also noticed that the dual compound is easy to see and feel when they are scrubbed, which is mildly entertaining.

I have similiar experience with the Dunlop Roadsmart on my rear tire.

Well I have to admit it's always been a goal of mine to get a set of Pirelli's. Because then I would be Kelly Pirelli!

I recomend round black rubber ones.

Seriously, Corsa III's are NOT the tire for you. 2 sets in 6K on the Buell.

I have PP's on it now, about 1200 miles on them, almost no corners involved.
They look "ok" but have lost the PP point that they are so famous for.

Thinking Road 2 rear, and PP front next go round.

Sounds like a winning combination.

I'm running diablo rossos. I've got probably 4 grand on em now with 3/4 of that in town or on the highway. Still tons of tread left and its not squaring off badly at all.

To be honest, because of my style of riding and my heavy wrist, it doesn't matter what tires I get, I'm gonna kill the rear within a few thousand.

Exactly. I take it pretty easy a lot of the time.
