Track Day!!
Ok, I did the Track Orientation School at Brainerd Int'l Raceway.
Track day held by TrackAddix. It was a great school, and I recomend taking a school of this sort for all those that are just starting track days, or even going to a new track. In the morning it's back and forth between track and classroom, track time is done with the novices, and instructors are with you showing you the lines/apex's/exits, as well as critiquing your overall form. Very helpful overall... especially when they tell you before you ever see the track that the racers enter turn 1 at 180 mph!!! During the lunch, there is a track walk... actually a ride on a trailer. They drive on the race line, hitting all the apex's while a veteran racer (41 years roadracing, including Isle of Mann) tells you what is going on on the track, and what you should be doing. Afternoon is just session track day. Instructors are available for questions and sometimes to follow/lead out on the track to help with trouble spots. In all, it was a great day, and I got a lot smoother throughout. I still have a LOT to learn... practice is required. In the garage at the track Friend's bike/garage area F4i and he was running in the advanced group. best time 1:58 my best time that anyone got was a 2:18 but I'm ok with that since I never got the cajones to enter turn 1 over 125 mph... Corsa III's stick well.

Back Home
And then the day is done, load up and go home.
Total 130 miles on the track. Average 25 mpg for the day, per the onboard computer. Smiles... well, I lost count. Get it home and I was spent, so the next night I made it all street legal again. Me just off work Comonboys on the "big bike" The "twins" Off comes the fairings again Remove tape. Looks funny naked. HOLY SHIT! No wonder they want you to tape over wheel weights. Never thought they would/could move, but they started out in the center of the wheel!! and the famous BIR lean. Tough to tell in this pic, but the right is worn a lot more than the left. 7 rights and 3 lefts in 3.1 miles will do that to ya on a track Put everything back on, plug in all the lights again *Note, be sure to hook the blinkers up correctly, so the same side flashes at the same time.* All ready for street duty again. |

Track pics
OK, they finally got the pics posted from the trackday!
Have to go through and see which ones I should buy. Can tell I need to work on form a lot yet though. ZOOM!! Main straight, proving any idiot can twist the throttle Turn 8... my favorite corner, even though many hate it. Gave this view to a few of the other riders... granted, we were all first timers on the track Left turns... there are only 3 of them, and one is more of a left "suggestion". At the bus stop, settin up for a pass before 10 |

Ok, finally taking the time to scan in my dyno sheets from when I was in IA.
Couldn't get A/F as the exhaust on the 1125 has baffles right away at the exit, so the sniffer wouldn't go in. Peak power, ran through first 5 gears. 2 days before, way more humid |

Haven't been doing a lot of "fun" riding, mostly just commuting and running around looking for jobs.
Pulled it out today and washed it, added the sticker as well... that's gotta add another 10 hp |

Well, I'm back from UT, and have some pics to share.
It was a good time, but I didn't have nearly enough time to go ride. Only got about 700 miles in. here we go. Alta Canyon and ski resort Checked out where they held the olympics in Park City. Beautiful city! Uinti nat'l forest and canyon and ski park. |
