Says the guy making an irrelevant post to tell everyone he knows his shit and is so awesome he has turned down several job offers while working. In the world shmike is asking about, those offers don't generally happen. The hiring process takes time, and in most professional circles it's frowned upon to solicit someone's employee while they're on the job.

At a professional places- Its happened to me a couple of times-
Once I knew the person doing the hiring and they my work ethic. The interview was very informal and we had it at a bar at the Bellagio. He said hey if you want to come work for me, I would love to have you. So I went back to NYC and asked for an offer letter and then made the move to Vegas. The 2nd time, I knew one of the managers and walked in for an interview on Friday and they told me to start on Monday. The 2nd fastest hiring process was my nursing job. I interviewed with my nurse manager and then HR called me within the hour and offered me the position. Other places that I got hired on the spot were at gyms, but I wouldn't classify them as "professional positions." |

Never heard of such an occurrence, myself. That would make me very wary, honestly.
I've had strong verbal interest after interviews with 2 companies in the past but it wasn't anything as formal as an actual offer. |

Hired on the spot twice. Once at a boat manufacturing company, once at an auto dealership. Both management/department head type positions.
I have never gotten a written acceptance letter for any job I've ever been at. Just a "we'd love to have you work for us" or "when can you start". |

On two occasions I did phone interviews, then progressed to face-to-face interviews, after which I was given a verbal offer. This was followed up by a written offer, on both occasions.
