I like rolls, like what you've posted in the pic, but don't like the Americanized version of Sashimi, (thinly sliced raw fish) which has the large piece of fish on top of rice. I just can't deal with the texture of the raw fish. Ick. But rolls, I can eat tons of them. Found a place here that makes them with brown rice, which may not be traditional but tastes so good!

Good god Bill, it's 9am, put the bottle down!!!

Back on topic, the first time I tried sushi I really didn't want to. I thought it was ok, but never imagined I would go out and eat it on my own. About 2 months later I got a craving for it, and it hasn't subsided for 12 years now. I have it about once a week, but could handle daily just fine.

Not fresh or not high quality seafood.

It can be stealthy. It may taste fine but turn you inside out later. I've only known it to happen to a couple people though, so the odds can't be that high. Just be mindful of the places you eat it, like you would anything else.
